Ľubica Hamarová
Expert in working with unconscious patterns and the shadow, coach, trainer, Zen nun, and a pioneer in applying C. G. Jung's theory outside the framework of psychotherapy. For more than 40 years she has been exploring the unconscious part of the psyche and its potential, which she applies in deep personal development. She is the author of many programs that use work with unconscious patterns and the shadow to help people live a truly authentic life of their own.
Over more than 40 years of working with people, she has become convinced of one thing: genuine change doesn't start with pressure on yourself, but with attention and acceptance.
She keeps learning and stays up to date with new findings. Her own experience matters as much. For many years she has worked on her own personal and spiritual development. She has practiced Zen meditation actively for over thirty years and leads her own sangha. She has also completed Michael Harner's three-year program in shamanic techniques and healing. Thanks to this, she knows her way around both personal and spiritual development in depth, including where they overlap and differ.
She studied clinical psychology at the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava, and earned the title PhDr. For more than 20 years she worked as a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Comenius University and at the Institute of Sports Sciences. She created mental training for top athletes. Her focus was the effect of meditation and relaxation techniques on performance, the use of qigong in athletes' mental preparation, and the effect of Zen meditation on personality.
In 1997 she earned a psychotherapist diploma at the Czech Institute of the Person-Centered Approach of C. Rogers, and for ten years she practiced psychotherapy, working individually with many top athletes, mainly tennis players and whitewater canoeists.
Since 1992 Ľuba, as one of the first in Slovakia, has created and led trainings in personal development and emotional intelligence. In 2005 she decided to broaden her work: she teamed up with her friend Paľo and her daughter Dana, and Komunikácia was born.
Ľuba is also a co-author of Mandalive®, an art therapy tool for working with positive and negative emotions, qualities and behaviors. It has also been published as a book, Mandalas for a Better Life.
In 2024 she was nominated for the TREND Woman in Business 2024 award.
